Tom Evans

Tom founded Qualia Law CIC as a non-profit after gaining experience as a Director and Professional Deputy in private sector law firms. He is now a member of the Office of the Public Guardian's Panel of Deputies and remains committed to delivering innovative Deputyship services.
He enjoys the odd glass of red wine playing music to an adequate standard

Hannah Evans

Hannah spearheaded Qualia Law's growth, earning recognition as a finalist in the 2024 Reisman Awards for the Community Champion and Legal Impact Award. She has developed and led mental health consultation services within the NHS Wales Early Help Hub and also holds a BN in Mental Health Nursing.
She enjoys creative arts and walking (mostly with dogs)

Lorenz Berger

Lorenz sits on our board as a technology and innovation expert, having gained a PhD in computer science from Oxford. He is an expert in the development and use of artificial intelligence.
Outside of work, Lorenz is conducting research into the perfect pancake recipe using a thermomix cooking device

Joseph Brophy

Joseph has been named in the Legal 500 as a key lawyer in a top Tier 1 private wealth disputes team. He has successfully represented lay attorneys, deputies, and OPG panel deputies in respect of disputes concerning multi-million-pound estates. He also has a background in NHS Continuing Healthcare claims, criminal and civil litigation and public family law.
In his spare time Joseph enjoys completing the Observer’s Everyman cryptic crossword and is working towards beating his personal best time of 70 seconds to solve a Rubik’s Cube. He also has a keen interest in sport and enjoys spending time with his family and friends

Laura Brown

After graduating with a First Class Honours, Laura completed her training contract in Cardiff and qualified as a Solicitor in 2012 specialising in Wills, Probate and Court of Protection matters. Laura has a wealth of experience in Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection. Sadly, mental capacity will affect everybody in one way or another during their lifetime. Laura is committed to ensuring that mental capacity does not define a person and takes pride in being approachable and sympathetic with the individual’s best interests at the forefront. Laura is also a Dementia Friend.
Laura enjoys cooking, strength training and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Megan Evans

Meg is a fluent Welsh speaker with a first-class Geography (Hons) degree from the University of Manchester. She has previous legal experience in Industrial Disease and is now embarking on her SQE studies with Qualia Law to further her career within the Court of Protection. Passionate about supporting vulnerable individuals, Meg brings a compassionate and conscientious approach to her work. Meg is also a Dementia Friend.
A big music enthusiast, Meg's Spotify playlists range from Lana del Rey to Radiohead, Mac Miller and more. She’s also a devoted animal lover with two dogs, two cats, and a tortoise. You’ll often find her in dog-friendly cafés, out for a run, at a yoga class, or most likely at Greggs!
